Hyundai has acquired an animation studio that was responsible for a few video games, but the company has now announced it will be releasing its own title in the vein of those games in the near future.
The Hyundai Animation Studio (OriO) will be producing and publishing a brand new title for the Hyundai brand, called “Hyundai Genesis,” according to a statement by Hyundai Korea’s brand director, Yujiro Fujita.
“We are excited to announce that Hyundai Genesis is finally going to be released in the Hyundai category,” said Fujita in the statement.
“The Hyundai Genesis title will be a completely original, 3D animated feature.
The Hyundai Genesis series will have a highly-anticipated launch in 2019.
We are very proud of Hyundai Genesis.”
Hyundai’s Genesis title has yet to be named but it will come with a range of characters that range from the famous “Hyunami” and “Korean Tiger” characters to the mysterious “Hexagon.”
Hyundai has yet not confirmed a release date for the Genesis title, but Fujita has said the new title will launch on the Hyundai platform sometime next year.
Hyundai has also announced that it will have its own television and radio programming as part of its Hyundai Originals content initiative.
It is unclear when the TV and radio programs will launch, but they are expected to be on the same time slots as Hyundai Origins.
